Extraordinary Experiences
From the time I was in diapers, my Mom made Church and the Bible the centerpiece of the family.
I became an unwitting student of the Word of God. Through extraordinary vision, DB Estep commissioned Warren W. Wiersbe to create an outline of the whole bible for systematic teaching. The course took 7 years to complete the cycle. Every Wednesday night Pastor Wiersbe would teach the Sunday school teachers, who would deliver the same message the following Sunday morning. The plan took three successive chapter from the bible each week. We added a new chapter each week and dropped the oldest. As we went through the bible, we covered the same chapter three times as we studied for meaning. I was involved in that program for 21 years, making three journeys through the bible. I only wish I had the perspective then as to how I valuable this was. I learned through osmosis being immersed in a lifestyle, and countless memory verses that still echo in everyday conversation.
