He counts the stars and calls them by name.

You speak of light years and I speak of The Ancient of Days who created the heavens.

“Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing.” Isaiah 40:26

“Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will.” Psalm 103:21

“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.” Psalm 33:6

“You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.” Nehemiah 9:6

“It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands And I ordained all their host.” Isaiah 45:12

WHO IS MAN THAT YOU ARE MINDFUL OF HIM?

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love. ” Ephesians 1:4

“Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” Genesis 15:5

“Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.”  Daniel 12:3   It will take the universe to house the family of God.

BOTH GREAT AND SMALL

It is with our eyes that we are able to perceive the greatness of God in the heavens.  Recently we began to see the greatness of God in the smallest things.  Through the magnification of light, we can see over great distances and peer into matter itself.  Everything that is material great or small is made of the same elements of perpetual motion of orbiting energy and vibration. Everything that God created is alive with energy.  God’s creation is infinitely large and infinitely small.  It is conceivable that the galaxies of stars we see are the molecules of a greater heaven beneath Gods feet.    It is with the smallest elements that the largest of masses are made.  Everything is filled with the energy of motion that has not stopped since creation.   We peer into the smallest particles and to furthest galaxies and begin to see a theory of everything, also known as God.

I find it most overlooked, that we are clay pots able to perceive the vastness of our surroundings yet accepting it as commonplace.  We regularly behold the glory of creation and dismiss it as scenery.  We have become accustomed to the breath we draw and the life within us.  We are finely tuned instruments that have dulled our senses with abuse.  We have obscured our perception to the point that we can no longer see God right in front of us.  Our condition is lost.  Our only hope is to invite the external sensory experience into our inner being, the indwelling Spirit of God.  “Behold I stand at the door and knock.  If any man hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with me”   I introduce you to the Son of God who lives forever more.
